HAITI NEEDS OUR HELP

An earthquake of that magnitude would be devastating for any country. All we can find now is death and destruction. It is clear to anyone who knows something about the country that this recent disaster, will be catastrophic for the Haitian people who already live with nothing. However, a lot of countries, different ONG’s and people around the world, get together to help in this situation. Rich and famous people are making auctions in order to send a lot of money to help the Haitian’s. In our country, two different situations happen. On one hand, people is sending food, giving money and donating blood to aid in someone way. But on the other hand, the government is giving parties to celebrate their four year at the administration and is doing nothing to help the Haitian people.

To lend a hand in these situations depends on each person, there is a lot of ways to help, but what is truth is that Haiti, the poorest American country, needs our help.

Facebook, who has more fans?

Facebook is the largest Internet social network. People among the world use this not only to interact with friends, but also to know new people, to chat with friends, play games, and to know news about famous people you are fan. A lot of celebrities have their own official facebook profile. Is an easy way to be connected with them and also is a challenge between celebrities and know who has more fans.

Recently the facebook statistics said that the winner is Cristiano Ronaldo with more than 3 millon fans. Although in many stadiums hissed, insulted him, and wishing him death, Cristiano Ronaldo is the athlete with more fans in the world. Neither Messi, or Kobe Bryant or Tiger Woods or Roger Federer or Michael Phelps, or David Beckham can’t win Cristiano with so many fans in the world.

The popularity of Portuguese is so great that hard to find a celebrity with the most followers worldwide. Only Michael Jackson, with more than 10 million fans, and Barack Obama, who is over 7 million, have more fans that Cristiano on Facebook.

Just to know there is also the group with the title One million people who hate Cristiano Ronaldo, if you are interested in to join them you will be part of the 108,865 members, unfortunately far away, of the 3 million fans.

CELL PHONES – Good or Bad for Our Health?

Long time ago cell phones appear. The first ones were really big and very heavy. Nowadays cell phones are tiny, have a lot of additional services, and accessories, such as SMS for text messaging, email, access to the internet gaming, Bluetooth, infrared, camera with video recorder and MMS for sending and receiving photos and video, MP3 player, radio and GPS.

Having a cell phone don´t means any more that you have a lot of money or exclusivity. Almost every single person has one. The young people between 11 and 33 have the best ones. The 50 percent of those have cell phones just for entertainment. For that reason parents, doctors and scientists are concerned if cell phones are good or bad for our health. This is an issue that won’t go away. Will the electromagnetic radiation cause diseases and brain tumors? Studies don’t have cleared this until these days. And now some scientists said that cell phones are the cure for Alzheimer’s.

Using cell phones is very normal in society, parents and schools try to forbid using too many cell phones in kids specially. If these technological devices causes diseases or not is not confirmed or denied, but if we have the possibility of not use all time is better not to do it.

No Concerts in Quito

Concerts in Quito have been suspended after the establishments where presentations are made, may not be rented.

For 2010 were confirmed more than 15 different concerts and artistic performances in Quito, yesterday the event organizing companies confirmed these may not carry out because it does not pass new laws dealing with the administration and rental of stadiums and event centers.

All the event organizations and sponsors are concerned, however mentioned that will make it possible for concerts to take place and will search for suitable sites even if them are not the traditionals. People are also worried because they do not know whether or not to purchase tickets in advance. They are also quite angry as it was announced excellent and unusual concert never seen in the country such as Guns' n Roses and presentations awaited of Chayanne and Alejandro Sanz.

Some music agents and promoters do not know whether to include Ecuador in their schedules due to these problems that interfere with the signing of contracts. “Don’t having for sure the place on which will take place the presentation, make negotiations cannot be done quickly, that’s why we prefer no including Quito on our tour” said David Bisbal spokesman.

In the last four days, one concert has been cancelled and two have been announced. Top Shows said: “The only ones affected will be the fans who yearn to be part of the tour of their artists”, and affirm that all his concerts are confirmed.

Until now: Forever Tango, The Cranberries, Joaquín Sabina, Alika, Alejandro Sanz are confirmed and fans bet for more surprises.
